Haleday is a personal wellness app that helps you plan meals, training, and recovery. This page explains, in plain language, what data it handles and the choices you have. Haleday is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Demo mode

By default the app runs in a demo mode with an example profile and synthetic data. No real account or personal information is required to explore it, and the demo data does not describe a real person.

What we collect

When you use a real account, Haleday stores only what you provide or generate in the app: your profile (such as sex, age, height, weight, and goals) and the wellness entries you log — workouts, meals, journal check-ins, and body measurements. If you connect a wearable, it also stores the device data described below. The app does not collect your contacts, browsing activity, or precise location.

Connected devices (WHOOP and other wearables)

Connecting a device is entirely optional. If you connect WHOOP, you grant Haleday read-only access through WHOOP's official OAuth flow, and the app reads your recovery, workout, and profile data directly from WHOOP on your behalf. You never upload anything yourself, and Haleday does not write to or change your WHOOP account. Your recovery reading is used to tune your training (for example, easing load on low-recovery days) and to keep your activity log current.

You can disconnect a device at any time from the Account page. Disconnecting deletes the stored access tokens, asks the provider to revoke them, and reverts your recovery to the app's own estimate.

How we use your data

Your data is used only to power the app's features for you — recommendations, the daily blueprint, the digital-twin projection, and recovery-aware training. Core calculations follow fixed rules. Optional AI-generated copy is used only if an AI provider is configured, and even then the safety, scientific, and privacy outputs stay fixed and rule-based. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Sharing

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. Social features, such as the neighbourhood ingredient-swap board, are opt-in and off by default; when enabled they expose only a first name and an approximate distance — never your email, exact address, or photos.

Storage and security

Your data is stored in the app's database and protected by access controls and rate limiting. Device access tokens are kept server-side and are removed when you disconnect.

Your choices

From the Account page you can export your data, disconnect any device, and delete your account. Deleting your account removes your stored profile and wellness entries.
